Turn those bag inside out!
Posted by Kevin Hartman on
We find that turning your Mash™ bags inside out gets your the best yield. By putting the seam inside the bag there is very little room left for oil to hide in. Bags that have a large hem outside of the seam like those found with a standard straight stitch tend to hold onto too much oil. With our stainless steel forceps you can really get those bags turned inside out quickly. Use the tool as a final corner pusher too.
Rolled Hems

We use a rolled hem on our mash bags. A rolled hem ensures that your oil passes through mesh and not between the stitching for proper filtration at the seams. Bags sewn with a standard straight stitch does not have this same feature.
